This is probably going to come off as a really stupid question, but what's the whole "Two Sisters" thing about? Since I moved here I've noticed quite a few businesses with "Of Two Sisters" in the name and I was wondering if there's some local story attached to it. This is the first of what will probably be a whole series of dumb out-of-towner questions. :/

I have an appointment with what will be Therapist #7 (or is it 8? 9 even?) tomorrow at 3 p.m. I was frank with my doctor when I saw him a few weeks ago. "I need to talk to someone, I know this. But I've hated every therapist I've ever had except for one, and that was because she was too useless for me to actually hate her. One guy never even listened to me and asked about my brother. You know I'm an only child! One guy didn't even speak English. I was constantly saying, "Pardon me?" And I'm tired of playing Yellow Pages darts and picking therapists. Recommend me someone good." He got the first three words of that last sentence done in about thirty seconds when he handed me a business card. I'll let you know if he managed the "good" part tomorrow. Also, I am going ice skating tomorrow for the first time in... God... years. I used to go all the time for awhile, mostly by myself because it was the latest workout thing I was trying, but when I didn't lose any weight, I gave up on it. Plus I got tired of going by myself and just going around in a circle, being cold and listening to music. But perhaps being in better shape and going with someone else will make this as fun as I'm hoping it will be. I mean, Terri always enjoys trying to teach me skating skills! And by "enjoys" I mean "loathes and wishes I wouldn't ask because I am a stubborn, belligerent student with a tendency to cry when I can't learn something fast enough".

Any suggestion on a good shop in which I can get a nice new set of tires - nothing fancy, as long as they're round and get the job done. I'd like to deal with someone friendly and efficient, but I know that's probably a dream. Bonus points if your favorite tire dealer is in Mid-City so I can get in and out of there during my lunch break. EDIT: Turns out Delta World Tire on Broad and Conti was the right place. |

Does anyone have recent experiences they would like to share (good or bad) with concrete contractors?? Or do you know of any trustworthy folks doing that sort of thing?? I just need to replace a 70-ft. length of sidewalk (demolish, take away and rebuild). I have looked to the yellow pages and the BBB website, but I would like to get real life input if you have some you would like to share. Thank you in advance!!
